29 days till we cruise!!

The time is coming for that glorious day where we board our home on the sea and cruise for 7 days in the Caribbean. Our family is beyond excited, for our gift exchange this year we even made it "cruise themed!" Buy a gift for your secret santa that they will for sure use on vacation. Love it. Basically I'm asking for loads of sunscreen because this whitey is gonna burn baby burn. In light of the days left until vacation, I've upped my workout and diet regimen. I haven't been keeping up my routine on the blog or posting results because I honestly haven't been paying much attention. The scale is hidden for now because I don't want to obsess on dumb numbers. As long as I'm feeling more fit and confident, that's good enough for me! So far this change of routine each day includes..

- 20 - 30 minutes of Cardio (biking, running, stair master or elliptical)
- 1 target area of weight lifting (upper or lower body) usually 5 different types, 4 sets of 8.
- Before bed I've also been super diligent (ask Paul) about these 2 ab workouts HERE & HERE. I switch from time to time depending on what I feel like.
- Cutting out most carbs. I'm sorry but I just can't let them all go…
- Drinking as much h20 as I remember to!

Normally it's late so I can't complete the "mountain climbers" on the Burning Core Pyramid so I switch it out with another ab exercise. Our downstairs neighbors have already called the cops on us once..anndd that's a whoooole other story. Preferably told over margaritas. After our vacation there are about 1,000 different interest recipes that involve bread of some sort, here are a handful..

Martha's mac & cheese + banana-peanut butter french toast?!? Be still my heart and carb deprived belly...

  1. These photos look delicious. I have always wanted to go to the Caribbean. I bet a cruise will be a blast. Good luck with fitness :)

  2. I am so jealous that you get to go on a cruise!! I can't wait to see your pictures.

And that mac and cheese? I want it!

  3. Oh gosh, I can't imagine how excited you are for your cruise vacation!!! And all of this food is making me hungry! So scrumptious!
