Foodie Friday! ...with a little glam.

Yeaahh! Second "foodie Friday" here on the blog (really sticking with this guys). So, any cream cheese lovers out there? What about crock pot junkies? This one is for you! A perfect and simple crockpot dinner for a chilly night, serve with a sweatpants + movie and you're all set. I discovered this recipe on Pinterest a few months ago and Paul requests it all the time!
Crock pot cream cheese chicken
It's seriously the perfect blend of spicy and creamy! All of your ingredients are found in the image above.

- 2 - 3 chicken breasts
- 1 package of cream cheese
- 1 can of corn
- 1 can of black beans (drain and rinse)
- 1 can of rotel
- 1 dry packet of hidden valley ranch
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 T of cumin

Directions: Place chicken at the bottom, add everything else and place the cream cheese on top! Cook for 6 - 8 hours on low. If you are home, mix everything around hour 3 or 4 so the cream cheese can join the party. Shred chicken and serve over rice! Yep, my kind of cooking.

Tip - Place the chicken in frozen if you are in a hurry!
Tweak - I personally ditch the cumin and replace it with 1 tsp of cayenne pepper for a kick of spice.
Tip - Go for the full 8 hours if you can, chicken will have great flavor and be even more tender.

Eat up!! Ok, now onto the next order of biz.

I really love that Paul's sister is going to college near us. She is normally very busy with her basketball schedule, but when she has a weekend off she comes to spend it with us. I treat her to many home cooked meals and she treats me with fun hairstyles and makeup sessions. She is always coming over with something new that we must try, a new makeup technique or a cool braided hairstyle...it's really fun! Here's some pics from her last trial run.
I really wish I could have her come do my hair like this before every wedding work day. I love to have my hair off my neck and out of the way, this would be perfect. She also wanted to play around with contouring a little. I definitely didn't have all the right makeup for it but she made do with what was available. I can really see it in the picture of the left, mostly on my nose. Do you know what the best part is? She's coming again this weekend! Woohoo.
