fun finds!

I'll be honest, I used to be a label snob. Especially when it came to jeans... 7 jeans, joes, citizens, you name it, only designer jeans were good enough. Then real life happened, including bills and responsibility and I grew up and out of that phase real quick.  Which soon opened my eyes to the wonderful world of stores like TJ-Maxx, Target, and Payless. I'll admit, Urban Outfitters is in my top three but I've refused to ever pay full price for their clothing (their sale racks are too good). Below are two pairs of shoes/sandles that I found at Payless recently. Overall I paid $45 for the two, they're pretty great.

Max&Leigha.

We laughed, we cried, and loved every moment of max and leigha's wedding weekend. As a wedding professional I'm a big part of weddings all the time, but to be involved in a wedding where two of your closest friends and become husband and wife. That is a whole new world I learned. My tear ducts told me so.

Anthro wedding shoes, one can never go wrong.

The next weekend we headed back into the wedding world as professionals and shot this perfectly sweet/intimate wedding in La Jolla, Ca. How fun is it that both the bride and groom have the same name!

wisdom recovery.

"Vicodin does a mouth good." The line I've been basically living by over the weekend as I'm continuing to recover from my wisdom teeth removal last thursday. The pain hasn't been unbearable, but it hasn't been a joy ride either. Yogurt, snack packs, soups (off all types and flavors), and naked juices are my main source of nourishment and I regularly dream about waffles, bagels, chips, and grilled cheese sandwiches. **Plus side** (yes, there is one.) I've lost 4lbs, yeah buddy. I was so relieved when I made it through our 10 hour wedding on Sunday just 72 hours after the surgery..I'll say it again, "Vicodin does a mouth good."

Trying to hide the pain before heading to shoot the rehearsal dinner.

*Video* post wisdom teeth surgery.

Now, obviously I can't even compare to "david after the dentist" on YouTube but the fact that Paul filmed me moments after picking me up from surgery made my day.

no wisdom.

This week has become a mad dash of catch up after taking a break for pre-wedding events last week, the wedding itself, and why not throw in some family bonding? Needless to say, I've fallen a bit behind. It's certain that me and my computer will be bff's for the next 3 days. ...and then comes Thursday. Thursday, I'm losing a bit of my wisdom. Teeth, that is. In high school I watched almost all my friends go through it, and now at 22 it's finally my turn. Lovely.

Looks like yogurt, apple sauce, and soup will be on the menu for the next week. If you have a minute, I'd love to hear your wisdom teeth surgery stories. I've heard both good and bad, it seems like each person has a different experience. Yummy post surgery food suggestions would be amazing too!

out and about.

Bachelorette paries, luncheons, dinners, and rehearsal oh my! This week was a crazy one as we prepared for Max and Leigha's wedding. Today I'm in a daze, but so excited to have been a part of their big day. Our friend Colleen was their photog and snapped this photo of the two of us. Now I think I'll nap for 5 hours... Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! love, k&p.

A work free weekend.

Work free weekends are almost as great as belgium waffles with crunchy peanut butter and endless syrup on top, for dinner. Almost. But nonetheless, they are just as sweet. We spent the weekend in San Diego visiting with families, lounging my the pool, and yes, hunting for our easter egg baskets that Paul's mom faithfully hides for us every year. Nothing like being 22 and vigorously hunting for your Easter basket like your life depended on it. The weekend continued with 2 Easter feasts and endless, "when are you having baby?" questions. Which is nothing new..

church bound on Easter Sunday. He is Risen!!
Work free weekends, let's be friends...

For your viewing pleasure, a peak at last weekends nuptials :) Grace & Aaron, let's also be friends.

Chicken. It's whats for dinner.

It has to be a dozen times now that Pinterest has saved by butt when I'm at a loss of what to make for dinner. You know, when we are sick of being lazy and over frozen pizza, mac & cheese, or soup. Our first year of marriage it was homemade dinner every night, all the time. Then...year 2 came around and well..dinner has turned into fend for yourself most nights ;-)

I recently came across this awesome Parmesan crusted chicken recipe on Pinterest! It's super quick, easy, and delicious. A must try in my opinion!

Find the recipe HERE

I've made it twice now and found that once you thaw out your chicken, place it on a paper towel for a few minutes while it soaks up some of the extra water. The Parmesan Crust turns out more crispy! Enjoy!

24.

Paul turned the big 2 - 4 yesterday and as much as I pleaded and almost demanded to throw him a birthday party...he said no. Next year, "next year we're going big.." is what I've said every year for the past 6 years now. So for his 25th, I've decided i'm not going to ask, just do. Surprise party? Perfect.

This year we partied hard with a family dinner and Coldstone's ice cream cupcakes. Happy 24th husband, so happy to have spent 6 wonderful birthdays with you.
